Imam Mahdi Islamic Centre (IMIC) is a grassroots Canadian charity rooted in the faith, commitment, and generosity of the local Shia community.
Since its early days, the Centre has grown through community effort and continues to operate as a religious, cultural, and educational home shaped by transparency, democratic governance, and local responsibility.

IMIC is governed through an elected, community-based structure that includes the Board of Trustees, a Financial Inspector, and the President of the General Assembly.
Leadership is entrusted to members through regular elections, ensuring that the Centre remains rooted in accountability and community participation.
Importantly: these roles are forms of voluntary service and are carried out in the spirit of responsibility, trust, and stewardship.
