This event provided a meaningful opportunity for our community to engage in constructive dialogue about Muslim civic participation in Canadian democracy. The conversation centred on how Muslim Canadians can make their voices heard through the democratic process, engage with public policy, and build bridges with elected representatives and public institutions.

As a registered Canadian charitable organization, the Imam Mahdi Islamic Centre supports civic awareness and community empowerment as fundamental responsibilities of engaged citizenship. We were grateful to host this informative session for our passionate youth and community members.

The days of mourning for Sayyid al-Shuhada (A.S.) have concluded, yet our covenant with Husayn ibn Ali (A.S.) has been renewed and strengthened. The tears have settled, and now comes the time for responsibility, knowledge, and action.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the families and beloved youth, generous benefactors, devoted servants, reciters and speakers, and all the mourners who gave meaning to the majalis at Imam Mahdi Islamic Centre through their conscious presence.

This unity is the lasting capital of our mosque and the roadmap for the months ahead: deeper understanding, purer service, and living the Husayni way in our homes, work, and community.

We dedicate the fruits of these efforts to the presence of Sahib al-Asr wa al-Zaman (A.S.). We ask Allah to place us among the awaiting people of action, to make our hearts steadfast in the covenant of justice and dignity, and to keep our steps firm in service to the believers.

Peace be upon Husayn (A.S.) and upon every heart that seeks to make their life more noble in his name.
